How to remortgage through Better.co.uk

Who can apply

We can help you if you and the other people on the mortgage:

  • live in the UK

  • have the right to remain in the UK indefinitely 

  • are not using Help to Buy or Right to Buy government schemes

Steps to remortgage with Better.co.uk

  1. Create an account

  2. Complete your mortgage profile 

  3. Your adviser will contact you within 24 hours of you completing your profile

  4. Upload your documents

After you've applied

  1. Your adviser will send you your remortgage deal

  2. Set a reminder for when you can next remortgage

Upload your documents

Once you’ve accepted a remortgage deal from your adviser, we’ll ask you to upload some documents. 

You’ll need:

  • 3 months of bank statements

  • 3 months of payslips

  • your ID - this can be a scan of your passport or driving licence

  • proof of address - this can be a bill or bank statement with your address on it that’s dated in the last 3 months

If you’re self employed you’ll also need: 

  • 2 to 3 years of tax calculations (SA302s)

  • 2 to 3 years of accounts

  • 3 months business bank statements depending on the lender

You can save time and avoid delays by making sure your documents will be accepted first time.
