Bianca

What brought you to Trussle?

I love that Trussle is making mortgages simple. Getting a mortgage is something almost everyone considers scary, difficult, and time-consuming. I’m pleased to be working for a company focused on changing that.

What are you most excited about in your role?

I’ve always worked in customer facing roles, and I’m excited about building relationships with people, making their lives that bit easier.

How did you get into the role you’re in?

I graduated from Goldsmiths University last year after studying Politics. I wanted to move as far away from Politics as possible so I worked in a few gyms for a while, then as an Events Assistant at another startup.

I’m planning for my own mortgage so I know how stressful it can be. I thought it’d be good to be able to help other people going through the same journey.

How do you spend your spare time?

I love video games. Then I do rock climbing or bouldering - climbing smaller walls but without being harnessed in. There are mats at the bottom so you won’t hurt yourself too badly if you fall… I’m terrified of heights too so that makes it more interesting!

What did you want to be when you were younger?

I wanted to be a vet. Then when I got a bit older I realised I didn’t like the thought of putting down animals. In my head, I thought it’d be all about helping the animals and spending time with them but I’m not sure that’s how it always is in reality.

What was your first job?

I worked in a stables and loved it - the free horse rides were the best part.

What do your friends know you for?

Sarcasm! I’m fluent in it.

Favourite film?

Tangled. It’s very underrated.

Best invention of the last 20 years?

Self driving cars. In theory we wouldn’t have any accidents or congestion, so I’m interested to see how it plays out.

Favourite TV program?

Rick and Morty - it’s a take on Back to the Future but animated. I like it because it’s funny, dark and sarcastic.
