Meet The Team: Eva
Eva wanted to become a mortgage adviser to help people secure their dream home, and joined Trussle to make that a reality for as many people as possible.
How did you get into the role you’re in?
I started my career as an estate agent before deciding I’d rather be on the other side as a mortgage broker. I wanted to do something more personal and challenging than showing people around a property, so becoming a mortgage broker was the perfect switch.
What made you want to join Trussle?
When I found out what Trussle was working to achieve, I knew it was the way to go. If I was looking for a mortgage, I’d have no qualms about using Trussle - why would you consider using anyone else? It’s a free service, you can go through the process in your own time, you don’t have to commit a huge amount of time to it, yet you get the same outcome as using a traditional adviser - just without the stress or paying money for the service!
What do you like most about being a mortgage adviser?
Helping someone achieve their dream of owning a home.
What’s the hardest part of your job?
Having to break the news to someone if they can’t afford the home they want.
What do you like most about working at Trussle?
It’s a very friendly environment and everything we do is fuss-free - it’s such an easy process for the customer.
How do you spend your spare time?
I have two children aged 9 and 7 so I’m always doing things with them. Then I love cycling, reading, and eating out. I like trying lots of different dishes - my mum’s Greek and my husband’s Spanish so it’s always been about sharing food and trying a bit of everything.
What’s your favourite movie?
Dirty Dancing. It doesn’t matter if I catch it on TV and it’s halfway through or near the end, I have to watch it.
What was your dream job when you were little?
I wanted to be an air hostess and I ended up flying with British Midland for four years. Although I love my job now, I loved being an air hostess too and would do it again for sure. I flew around all of Europe so I’ve managed to tick quite a few places off my list. My favourite is Rome - I was there for Christmas one year and it was beautiful.
Inspired by Eva’s story? We’re hiring! Take a look at our vacancies - we’d love to hear from you.
